Trinity Center Winter Evening Program 2018/2019 had its opening night on Monday, December 3rd and a grand opening it was!
After weeks of preparation, there were 9 staff hired, three of whom were veteran staff from previous years’ Evening Programs. Of the 49 Trinity Center members who expressed interest in coming in to the program, 25 members completed all the requirements, and another 10 are close to completing all requirements. On opening night, 19 members checked in and enjoyed a delicious meal especially prepared by a group of neighbors from the French Community. At the Armory, to the delight of the members, bedding included brand new pillows purchased through fundraising efforts of the Rossmoor Democrats. The first night of our 3rd year at the Armory was a mix of getting acquainted and re-acquainted with people and with procedures. This year, it is evident and widely felt that the Evening Program is a reinforcement of the resources offered at Trinity Center, and will itself be reinforced by those services. We look forward to a season of successful outcomes, and plan to work hard on them.
Trinity Center Winter Evening Program will run from December 3, 2018, to March 29, 2019.
We provide members with a hot meal at Trinity Center and overnight shelter at the Walnut Creek National Guard Armory.
You can help keep our participants safe, dry, and warm this winter!
